Terms of Use

These Terms of Use ("Terms") form a legally binding agreement between you and Purova (operated by Sadh Inc.) ("Purova," "we," "us," or "our") governing your access to and use of the Purova mobile application and related websites and services (collectively, the "Services").

1. Description of the Services

1.1 Features

Purova may provide features including, without limitation:

• Barcode scanning for food and cosmetics, with automatic category detection
• Nutri-Score, NOVA, Eco-Score, nutrition facts, additives, allergens, and labels
• Cosmetic ingredient risk notes and an ingredients dictionary
• Country-aware healthier alternative suggestions
• On-device history and optional in-app translation of product text
• Explore catalog, dietary/skin preferences, and Premium features as described at purchase

1.2 Availability

Services are offered for Android via Google Play as published. Features may require internet connectivity (lookups, alternatives, translations). Availability may vary by region, device, OS version, and store policies.

1.3 Updates

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features at any time. You are encouraged to keep the App updated for security and reliability.

1.4 Third-party data

Product facts may come from Purova catalogs, Open Food Facts, Open Beauty Facts, and similar sources. We do not guarantee completeness, accuracy, or that a scanned barcode will be found.

2. Eligibility

2.1 Age

You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum digital consent age in your country, if higher) to use the Services. If you are under the age of majority, you represent that you have parental/guardian permission where required.

2.2 No Account Required

Purova is designed without a mandatory user account. Access is typically device-local. Purchases and restorations are handled through Google Play accounts and store systems.

2.3 Your Responsibility

You are responsible for your device security, backups, camera use in permitted places, and any activity occurring through your use of the App on your device.

3. Informational Scores — Specific Terms

3.1 Nature of scores

Grades and risk colors are automated summaries of available data. They are not a clinical assessment, recipe certification, or a guarantee of safety, taste, or legality in your market.

3.2 Prohibited reliance

You agree not to rely on Purova as the sole basis for:

• Managing severe food allergies or medical diets
• Diagnosing skin conditions or choosing prescription treatments
• Regulatory compliance, import, or manufacturing decisions

3.3 Translations

Machine translations of ingredients or tags may contain errors. Official product names are not invented by AI. You retain ownership of content you create (such as notes if offered). By using translation, you grant us a limited license to transmit product text to providers solely to generate a translation and, if successful, to store that map on the product record.

4. Free and Premium Subscriptions

4.1 Free tier

Free access may include basic scanning and product details, as described in the App. Limits may change with reasonable notice in the App or store listing.

4.2 Premium

Paid subscriptions (for example weekly, monthly, yearly) may unlock unlimited scanning, deeper ingredient insights, personalized alternatives, and priority support, as described at purchase time.

4.3 Billing

Purchases are billed by Google through your Google Play account and may be managed via RevenueCat entitlements. Prices may change for future periods as permitted by store rules.

4.4 Cancellation & Refunds

Cancel anytime in your Google Play subscription settings. Cancellation typically takes effect at the end of the current billing period. Refunds are governed by Google Play policies; Purova cannot issue store refunds directly in most cases.

4.5 Independence

Purova does not sell product ratings or advertising placements to food or cosmetic brands. Premium funds development; it does not let a brand buy a better grade.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Services for unlawful, harmful, abusive, or exploitative purposes
• Attempt to reverse engineer, scrape, overload, or disrupt the Services or data providers
• Misrepresent Purova scores as medical, legal, or certified laboratory results
• Circumvent subscription, rate limits, or security controls
• Upload malware or content that infringes others' rights
• Systematically extract catalog or translation output to build a competing database in violation of third-party terms

6. Intellectual Property

Purova owns the App software, branding, UI, and original content (excluding your personal entries, public-database content, and third-party components). Open Food Facts, Open Beauty Facts, and similar datasets remain subject to their licenses. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes in accordance with these Terms.

7. Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains on-device history, product lookups, translations, subscriptions, and diagnostics. By using the Services, you acknowledge that policy.

8. Disclaimers

THE SERVICES ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT SCORES, INGREDIENTS, ALLERGENS, TRANSLATIONS, OR ALTERNATIVES WILL BE ACCURATE, COMPLETE, OR SUITABLE FOR YOUR SITUATION, OR THAT THE SERVICES WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE.

9. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, PUROVA, Sadh Inc., AND THEIR AFFILIATES, OFFICERS, AND SUPPLIERS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES; OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, PROFITS, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES; ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF (OR INABILITY TO USE) THE SERVICES OR RELIANCE ON PRODUCT DATA — EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING OUT OF THE SERVICES SHALL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNTS YOU PAID TO US FOR THE SERVICES IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM OR (B) FIFTY US DOLLARS (USD $50).

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations; in those cases, our liability is limited to the fullest extent permitted.

10. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Purova from claims, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your misuse of the Services, your content, or your violation of these Terms or applicable law.

11. Termination

You may stop using the Services at any time by uninstalling the App and canceling subscriptions via the store. We may suspend or terminate access for violations of these Terms or to protect users or the Services. Provisions that by nature should survive (disclaimers, liability limits, indemnity, IP) will survive termination.

12. Store Terms

If you download from Google Play, you also agree to applicable Google Play terms. Google is not responsible for maintenance, support, or warranties for Purova beyond what their standard store rules require. Claims related to the App are between you and Purova, not Google, except as required by store policies.

13. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms periodically. The "Last Revised" date will change accordingly. Continued use after changes become effective constitutes acceptance where allowed by law. If you disagree, stop using the Services.

14. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws applicable in the jurisdiction where Sadh Inc. operates, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where mandatory consumer protections in your country of residence apply and cannot be waived.

15. Miscellaneous

These Terms and the Privacy Policy are the entire agreement regarding the Services. If any provision is unenforceable, the remainder remains in effect. Failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not assign these Terms without our consent; we may assign them in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
